6 powerful self-care ideas to leave you feeling revitalized
Self-care leads to so many valuable outcomes. Like feeling foxy. Confident. Happy. Refreshed.
Do you practice it on a daily basis?
Not only will it make you feel better to pause, recollect and breathe---it will also leave you feeling more confident about who you are, what you stand for and what you'd like to accomplish in the world.
Most of my readers are women; if you aren't, pay attention bro. I'm gonna teach you a thing or two about your partner.
Women are busy taking care of everyone else. So much so, that many times we have no idea we've forgotten about ourselves until we are left feeling over exhausted, short and unhappy. Its in those times, we need someone to reach out and meet us with love; instead of defense, to remind us to take care of our-self. (So, if that sounds like your partner. Send her away (nicely) to go rejuvenate---you will be happy you did so)
WOMEN: At the end of the day, we can only take care of everyone else if our cup is FULL. If our cup is empty, there is nothing to give. I really encourage you to create the space and intention to care for yourself.
Leave the kids with your husband. Take off work early. Wake up an hour early. Do whatever you've got to do to make it CLEAR to your family that you are taking some time out to care and love for yourself.
Here are some of my favorite things to do:
Meditate: Meditate even just for 10 minutes. Take the time to calm and connect to your inner self. Meditation Moments is available on iTunes HERE or Soundcloud HERE
Take a swim or a bubble bath: Water is healing
Look up foot reflexology
Swing, let your inner child out
Take a walk, barefoot in nature, hug a tree for at least 1 minute
Journal all your feelings away: Feeling is HEALING. Journaling with some hot tea will help you relax and get to your inner core.
After you've done it. Congratulate yourself. Now, do it again and again and again and again! You get the picture! And hey, if you're local to Fernandina and you see me swinging, you feel free to come sit by me and swing away :)
Love,
Nichole Causey
